Richard Hems

Richard set up the practice following 23 years in general practice. He now limits this practice to root canal treatment only following completion of this Master of Science degree in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute University College London in 2001.
He has always had an interest in multi-disciplinary approach to dental care for the restoration of the dentition. Together with his postgraduate training this gives him experience particularly suited to appreciate the problems of diagnosis, treatment planning and case management often associated with teeth that require endodontic treatment. He regularly teaches on courses for dentists throughout East Anglia.
He is supported by his team who have worked together for many years to provide a relaxed and friendly environment so that he can deliver the best possible care. The latest techniques are used such as the picture of Richard (above) working with his microscope to find all the tiny root canals in the root so the best possible outcome can be achieved.
Nadir Khan, Specialist Oral Surgeon

Nadir graduated from Glasgow University in 1986 and after seven years in general dental practice pursued a full-time career in hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery.
He holds posts of Associate Specialist at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals and has a specialist interest in maxillofacial trauma and orthognathic surgery. For the past eleven years he has run a referral practice in Colchester in the areas of oral surgery and implant dentistry, and has lectured and taught locally and nationally on the surgical management of implant patients.
Regular courses on the treatment planning and surgical management of complex implant cases are run from the purpose-designed implant and oral surgery centre in Colchester.
Nadir is a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Association of Dental Implantology. He is on the panel of examiners for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the MFDS exam at the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.
